THE PROJECT
A new installation of the Parking Angel system has been completed in Rome. The project was awarded in a tender published by Roma Servizi per la Mobilità Srl. Nabla Quadro signed a contract to supply hardware for a system to monitor the occupancy of parking bays reserved for the vehicles of the public car-sharing service, and identify which vehicle is parked in each bay.
More than 300 Sky Light Parking Sensors have been installed to monitor reserved parking bays. In addition, Parking Angel Tokens have been placed onboard the vehicles to communicate the ID of the specific car when it parks in a reserved bay.
Thanks to NB-IoT technology, data are sent to the server to obtain a real-time picture of the exact location of vehicles parked in the bays and have knowledge of illicit occupations of the bays reserved for public use.
